Argentina has become the first country in Latin America to legalize gay marriage.
The Senate passed the bill early Thursday morning after more than 15 hours of debate. Demonstrators for and against the new law spent the night outside Congress while they waited for the result.

The legislation will also allow adoptions by same-sex couples.Click here to read more. What are your views on this matter? In what way will homosexual couples benefit with this new law? What are the arguments against the law?

At the beggining of all this, I was closer to be against the law, but after thinking a lot I think my position has changed.
It´s a very hard subject, and I guess that must have been difficult for those who have to make a dicision.
In my opinion the main aspect is the adoption matter.
I hope this new law improves the society and be the solution for homeless or abandoned children.
Despite Catholic Church´s opinnion, I think is more christian to take care of the little ones than to leave them grown by their own.
Regarding the rest of changes, there is no doubt that same-sex couples rights need to be reglated, so this new law is completely positive in that sense.
